Potato gratin with herring
Don't know about you, but I with the onset of cold weather, as ever, I want baked potatoes and herring. This dish solves two problems at once. Potato gratin with herring and onion sauce - this is it gloomy cold evenings.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes

    450 g

  • Herring

    1 piece

  • Butter

    25 g

  • Yolk egg

    3 piece

  • Cream

    250 ml

  • Black pepper

  • Green onions

    1 Tbsp

  • Parsley

    1 Tbsp

  • Sour cream

    100 g

  • Salt

Cooking

Peel the potatoes and cut into very thin slices. I have this great job grater, vegetable peeler can.

Herring cleaned from the viscera, skin and bones, milling and cut into small dice.

Form for baking grease with some butter. Spread, alternating layers of potatoes and herring. The latter should be a layer of potatoes.

Mix the egg yolks 150 ml cream, pepper, NO SALT (!) and pour over the potatoes. Remaining butter slices spread out on top of the potatoes.

Bake at 180 degrees for about 1 hour. I have 50 minutes was enough.

For the sauce mix the sour cream with 100 ml cream, parsley and onion. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Let stand a bit.

Serve sauce with hot potato gratin.
