So the result is "failure" was born a new culinary masterpiece! And the actual cakes are amazing! Delicate, airy sponge cake with a light citrus note and a surprisingly tasty, crunchy almond topping perfectly to form a harmonious tandem!

Gently enter into the dough beaten egg whites using silicone spatula. Whip is not necessary! Put the dough in the form. I used silicone size 22 x 11 (don't forget, I made a half portion); if You have a regular, brush it with melted butter and sprinkle with flour or dry powdered sugar. Form to Bang on the table so the dough is evenly distributed. Put in a preheated 170 degree oven. Bake for 15 minutes.
This recipe uses peeled blanched almonds. You can buy ready, but you can do yourself. I chose the second option. It is necessary to throw the almonds in boiling water and leave for 3-4 minutes. Drain nuts in a colander, then shift for a few minutes in cold water or a bowl of ice. Re-drain the water and dry with a towel. Clean (cleaned very easy). Leave the almonds to dry. In any case not warm it in the oven or microwave, we don't need the toasted almonds. I left to dry for a day near the battery.
Grind the almonds in a blender, add sugar and whites, mix well.
