Jam of chokeberry (Aronia), with plums
This year I have a big crop of chokeberry turned out to be! Jam with the addition of zucchini we have already prepared, and today I bring to Your attention another recipe dilution of sweetness and astringency of Aronia - plums. Come and vote?

Ingredients

  • Aronia

    1 kg

  • Drain

    0.5 kg

  • Sugar

    1.5 kg

  • Water

    900 ml

  • Citric acid

    1.5 tsp

Cooking

step-0
We will prepare the necessary chokeberry and plum
step-1
Plum remove the bones and cut into quarters.
step-2
Blanchere Aronia berries with boiling water (900 ml), leave for 5 minutes, drain off water after blanching in a separate bowl (it will be useful for preparing a syrup) and rinse berries with cold water.
step-3
The water remaining from blanching the berries, put on fire, add 1 kg of sugar and cook syrup.
step-4
In the boiling syrup fall asleep chokeberry and plum. Bring to a boil.
step-5
Remove from heat, cover with a towel and leave for 10 minutes.
step-6
Return on the fire, fill up the remaining sugar and bring to a boil over high heat. Turn off and leave to rest for 8 hours.
step-7
Again, put on fire, add citric acid and cook the jam until tender. I have it takes about 45 minutes. The readiness of the jam check the straw. If spread - cook for another, if it remains a drop and does not spread - the jam is ready! The photo clearly visible on all samples.
step-8
Spread the jam into sterile jars and screwed the lids. Turn on a towel and leave it up to complete cooling. As you can see, with the total number I got 3 cans 0.5 l and 2 banks 350 ml + small vase.
