Braised cabbage with apples
Delicious option for braised cabbage with pork, apples and prunes. Cabbage turns sweet and sour, with a pleasant aroma and aftertaste of Apple and plum. If you exclude meat, would make a great Lenten recipe.

Ingredients

  • Cabbage

    1.7 kg

  • Pork

    700 g

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Apple

    2 piece

  • Soy sauce

    4 Tbsp

  • Seasoning

    1 Tbsp

  • Spices

  • Prunes

    70 g

Cabbage finely chopped, folded into a deep bowl and pour the sweet soy sauce Kikkoman and grind with hands until soft.

This cabbage has a cheerful color and acquires a pleasant taste and aroma.

Pork cut into small pieces, season with salt and pepper and fry in vegetable oil along with half rings of onion. Fry until whitening of meat, it remained raw.

Pass the meat with onions in a cast iron cauldron, the juices and fat left in the pan.

In the meat juices briefly fry the Apple slices.

Shift them on top of the meat, a little pepper. Put the pitted prunes. I used to chop them into small pieces.

In leftover fat in the pan, stir fry the cabbage. Fry briefly, 5-7 minutes.

Put the cabbage in the pot, sprinkle with sushi vinegar, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer on medium heat for 30-40 minutes. Before serving, mix well.
