Lenten cake with poppy seeds
"And we're, you know, only playing..." (C) For lovers of buns and other pastries, which at the same time, keep fasts, offer Lenten cake with poppy seeds. On the "search" among the vegetable muffins such is not found. So post, maybe someone will use the recipe, and the cake will taste. The recipe I adapted for the grill. But originally it for the oven.

Ingredients

  • Flour

    2 cup

  • Brown sugar

    1 cup

  • Juice

    1 cup

  • Vegetable oil

    4 Tbsp

  • Leavening agent

    1 tsp

  • Mac

    3 Tbsp

Prepare ingredients for cake. The photo is missing the baking powder. Today I have a brown Demerara sugar TM "Mistral", but, actually, it is better to take SMALL brown TM "Mistral". Sugar, juice and flour measured out a glass of 250 gr.

In a bowl, where we are going to knead the dough, pour multifruit juice. Pour the brown sugar TM "Mistral". Stir (I stirred with a whisk) until the sugar is dissolved. Then add the vegetable oil. Stir.

Gradually mixed the flour + baking powder. The dough turns thick.

Finally add the poppy seeds and mix well.

Spread the batter in a silicone form.

Put on baking in a convection oven. Grills need to pre-heat it, if there is no special "buttons" WARMING up, start at the highest temperature, the fan speed is high, time is 6 minutes. After warmed up I put the form with the dough and set the program: temperature - 205 degrees fan speed - high time - 30 minutes Readiness check with a wooden skewer. If the skewer is sticky, else add time. If the top of the cake will burn, then close foil.
