Description
Code in front of me for the first time raised the question of maintaining the huge crop of apples I had studied all the old cookbooks that have been nurtured in our family. There was no shadow of doubt that it is possible to prepare otherwise. Yes, of course, no blenders, slow cookers and even jars with screw-on lids. Well rubbed, churned by hand, cooked long and troublesome. But 1.5 kg of sugar for a kilo of apples?!! With all due respect to retro's too, isn't it? So - long live new technologies! After much searching, collecting recipes and going on the Internet, after trial and error I developed a great recipe for an Apple jam with a small amount of sugar, which is easy to realize and with which to "play". I propose a recipe that will enliven the taste of the beloved Apple jam and no trouble.

Cooking
Wash apples, peel and cut into slices no wider than 0.5 cm. If the skin is intact, beautiful, it can not cut. It gives unique a strong Apple flavor.
The apples to fall asleep sugar and leave to stand for 6-8 hours.
Apple will have allocated a lot of juice! Maybe all the sugar to dissolve, but not necessarily.
Put in a bowl with apples washed sprigs of mint. While stirring on low heat to dissolve the sugar. Strengthen a little fire, bring to boil and cook on medium heat for exactly 5 minutes. Then the pelvis remove from heat to cool. Spoon to heat the portion that did not want to boil. Mint remains to swim in syrup. Repeat this operation 3-4 times. Maybe more, depends on the density of apples. Each time the apples will be made more transparent. Mint is brewed and infused with apples!
When most of the slices will be transparent, it is time to cook the jam until tender, that is, until thick syrup. Fire is average, the foam is too plentiful. Gently stir, strong boiling is not permitted. After 10-15 minutes it's ready. Remove from the mint jam and hot pack in the screw banks. Mint can be consumed in tea or something else. From one kg of apples is obtained 700-800 gram jar of jam. Turn, wrap it up, leave to cool. Ready jam turns out a light, "cool" taste. On the first taste it may seem that you added a lemon, and a little later reveals a touch of mint. Enjoy your tea!
