Description

Jam from cranberries
I admit, I love cranberry jam was sour. No matter how much I tried the store is jam - all wrong - very sweet! And I love to feel the taste of real berries. When I was little "right" jam, I was trained by the grandmother. But now she was very old and almost not engaged in the workpiece. This recipe is my impromptu. Once passing by the market, I saw the loose cranberries and the idea of jam came by itself.

Ingredients

  • Cranberry

    1 kg

  • Sugar

    1 kg

  • Water

    1.5 cup

Cooking

step-0
Enumerated and washed cranberries to put in the pan, pour in half a Cup of water and cook under the cover until the berries are soft and begin to burst. After which the berry mash and RUB through a sieve. I used a potato masher for the mashed potatoes, because I like the jam with the rind from the berries. You can use a blender. In this case, it all depends on how you like it.
step-1
In another pan prepare a sugar syrup. To the sugar add one Cup of water and bring to a boil, stirring so that the sugar is completely dissolved.
step-2
In a saucepan with the syrup to shift mashed cranberries, stir and cook on slow heat for about an hour.
step-3
Of kg of berries I came up with 5 half liter jars of jam. Jam is well worth it. If you like sweeter you can cook in a ratio of 1:2.5 kg of berries and 2.5 kg of sugar. I hope there are fans of this jam!
