The Chinese cabbage salad with cereals
Cereal I love and often use when cooking. Today offer easy Chinese cabbage salad with carrots and oatmeal. Lightly toasted oat flakes give the salad a light nutty flavor. And bright pomegranate seeds to decorate the salad and it will add a pleasant acidity. Be sure to add the sesame seeds and flax seeds - they are very helpful! Very good salad to serve with meat.

Ingredients

  • Cabbage

    0.5 piece

  • Carrots

    1 piece

  • Oat flakes

    3 Tbsp

  • Sesame

    1 tsp

  • Seeds

    1 tsp

  • Coriander

    0.333 tsp

  • Nutmeg

    0.25 tsp

  • Black pepper

  • Salt

  • Olive oil

Cooking

For salad, grate carrots on a coarse grater. Or on a grater for Korean carrot. Add in carrots, coriander, nutmeg and a little pinch of freshly ground black pepper. Mix well and leave for some time. I left for the night.

Cabbage need not coarsely chop.

Oatmeal fry in a dry pan along with sesame and flax seed, stirring constantly. Fry so that the cereals bought a light nutty flavor. Not turned on the fire.

Cabbage mix with carrot, salt to taste, drizzle with olive oil. Oatmeal add before serving, so they are not softened. And very good to put in a salad with pomegranate seeds, if you do not confuse bone beans. Pomegranate adds a nice tartness to the salad.
