Cooking

step-0
To prepare the products. The oil should be removed from the refrigerator. I used ready-made marzipan I bought in Hungary when I went in August there is not treatment. If you are ready marzipan no, you have to cook it: grind the almonds, boil with the icing sugar and 3-4 tbsp of water for 1 minute. Cool. Add the liqueur. Beat the mixture with a blender until a soft smooth, 7 minutes. Cool. Divide the marzipan into 3 equal parts, two of them roll out into circles with a diameter of 18 cm.
step-1
Cake pan beat butter with sugar white. Then, without stopping to whisk, one by one enter the eggs. The last egg is at first a little beat up and put 2 tbsp., pour the rest into the dough.
step-2
Add spices, candied fruit and peel. I didn't have lime, I took the zest from 1 large lemon and 1 tbsp dried orange peel.
step-3
Add the sifted flour. Stir the batter with a mixer. Add the candied fruit, mix well. My granddaughter was sick and her daughter called every 5-10 minutes, pulling me completely and I forgot to add the candied fruit, so the first half of the dough for me without candied fruit. By the way, candied fruits in my opinion too much. I put much less. Divide the dough into two parts.
step-4
The form in diameter 18 cm to lay baking paper, grease with oil. I had a form of 20 cm, so the cake was not too high. Half of the dough put in the form and flatten.
step-5
On dough to lay out a circle of marzipan and press it to the test, getting rid of the air between the layers.
step-6
Put the remaining dough. Flatten. In the center of the pie to make a small indentation that when baking there is not formed a dome.
step-7
Cover with foil.
step-8
Bake at 180°C for 60 minutes. Then remove the foil and continue to bake pie until done, 30-45 minutes.
step-9
The finished cake remove from oven, slightly cool, then remove the sides and put the cake on a wire rack.
step-10
The cooled cake to cover with jam.
step-11
The second circle of marzipan to put on the cake.
step-12
The oven to include at 200°C. Of the remaining, not part of the rolled out marzipan mass roll out 11 balls. Lay them in a circle on pie. The remnants of the jam to coat sides of cake. Lubricate the deferred marzipan with the beaten egg and put the pie in the oven for 2-3 minutes – the marzipan should be slightly browned.
