Barley vegetable
Lent has begun and Willy nilly start to invent new combinations. Simple, hearty, flavorful and tasty dish.


  • Pearl barley

    2 cup

  • Carrots

    2 piece

  • Onion

    2 piece

  • Mushrooms

    400 g

  • Salt

  • Olive oil

  • Seasoning


Pearl barley wash, add water and then boil it. Cook for about 2 hours. Season with salt to taste.
Cut the mushrooms, fry them in olive oil
Finely chop the onion, carrots to RUB on a large grater. Fry in butter until tender.
To check the readiness of the barley, if there is a need to drain excess water. Put on minimum heat, add the roasted mushrooms, carrots and onions. Add seasonings, mix thoroughly without removing from the heat until the liquid is evaporated. Turn off the heat, cover and let stand 10 minutes.
Serve with greens.
