Stripes lemon zest - beautiful and delicious decoration for your cakes.

Cooking
With a sharp knife or a knife for cleaning of vegetables with lemon remove the zest and cut it into thin strips. If you have a special knife for slicing the peel, your task is made easier by several times.
Mix equal quantities sugar and water, bring to low heat to dissolve the sugar and put in syrup chopped zest. Simmer for 15-20 minutes. Cool.
Put the zest in the strainer to decant the syrup. It can be used later when making smoothies or in baking.
Now, roll the zest in sugar.
Place on a paper towel (or better still on a sheet of parchment, I realized later:)) and dry.
After full drying of the finished strips of zest you can use for decoration.
