Pea porridge with onions and bacon
This is my favorite recipe from childhood: my grandma always made us this hearty, fragrant and delicious porridge. True, it greaves were made of fat, I like to cook the bacon. Come to me, who is not afraid of extra calories.

Ingredients

  • Peas

    2 cup

  • Broth

    4 cup

  • Bacon

    300 g

  • Onion

    2 piece

  • Greens

  • Salt

Peas ( I use split peas TM "Mistral") rinse well, pour the broth and simmer for 40 - 50 min. you Can certainly use water, but broth, especially the chicken porridge turns out very fragrant and delicious.

Until cooked peas, cut in small pieces the bacon.

Fry bacon on both sides until Golden, thin skins.
