This is my favorite recipe from childhood: my grandma always made us this hearty, fragrant and delicious porridge. True, it greaves were made of fat, I like to cook the bacon. Come to me, who is not afraid of extra calories.

Cooking
Peas ( I use split peas TM "Mistral") rinse well, pour the broth and simmer for 40 - 50 min. you Can certainly use water, but broth, especially the chicken porridge turns out very fragrant and delicious.
Until cooked peas, cut in small pieces the bacon.
Onion cut into thin half-rings.
Fry bacon on both sides until Golden, thin skins.
Take out cracklings from the pan.
In the bacon fat fry the onion until nice Golden color. Fire off and stir onion with bacon.
That's such a mess should be (if liquid remains, cook until its complete evaporation).
