The herring in wine marinade
Herring is fabulous! The marinade is amazing! This dish can even decorate a party table. The recipe is from the magazine "Delicious recipes" (11 /2010 ).

Ingredients

  • Herring

    5 piece

  • Onion

    2 piece

  • Sugar

    1 cup

  • Dry red wine

    1 cup

  • Vinegar

    1 cup

  • Carnation

    1 piece

  • Bay leaf

    2 piece

  • Black pepper

    1 tsp

  • Mustard

    1 Tbsp

I'm happy, because I accidentally deleted photos of marinade. Terribly sorry about it, because the marinade turns out sooooo beautiful. I did half the rules, because 5 of the herring is too much, in my opinion, even for her biggest fans. :-) In a small saucepan connect the wine, vinegar (I used 1/2 Cup of table and 1/2 glasses of red wine), sugar and spices. Bring to a boil, add the onion and cook with small heat about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. The cooled marinade, drain in a colander (do not pour the marinade). In a bowl put the onion and herring layer, pour the marinade. Cover and leave to marinate in the fridge for 1 - 2 days.
