Soup with sorrel from the steamer
Thanks to the contests on the "Cook" many cooks got the steamers. But perhaps not everyone knows, however, as I until recently, that the steamer can cook not only meat and fish. You can cook soup, borscht. And even cook puddings and cakes (my first time).


  • Meat

    200 g

  • Beets

    1 piece

  • Carrots

    1 piece

  • Potatoes

    3 piece

  • Sorrel

    1 coup

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Spices

  • Tomato paste

    1 Tbsp

  • Vinegar

    1 tsp

  • Sugar

    0.5 tsp

  • Greens

    0.5 coup

  • Bay leaf

    2 piece

  • Sour cream

  • Butter

    1 Tbsp


Beets and carrots to clean and put in a container of a double boiler. Timer to turn on for 20 minutes.
Then, in the rice bowl put the meat and cover with water. Put the first tier. Since I had chicken wings, the timer set for 40 minutes. If You have other meat - time of 60 minutes.
While cooking the meat, prepare the vegetables. Three on a coarse grater boiled beets and carrots.
Peel and cut arbitrarily potatoes.
Peel and grind onions.
Cut the sorrel.
Grind the dill and parsley.
When the steamer will inform You about the end of cooking meat, throws the potatoes, onions, beets and carrots. Set the timer for 15 minutes. After this time add vinegar, sugar, tomato, salt, pepper, celery seed, Bay leaf, butter, dill and parsley. And set another 15 minute timer. And then poured into plates and enjoy flavorful and healthy soup with the addition of sour cream. As a result, the cooking in the steamer it takes less time. ;-) ;-) ;-)
