Cantucci from Prato
Cantucci is a kind of biscotti, common in Tuscany. The original recipe used almonds, but in principle you can use any nuts and dried fruits. They can be stored up to 3 months. Since biscotti is a very dry biscuit, often served with a drink. In Italy cookies served with Vin Santo (dessert wine).

Ingredients

  • Flour

    500 g

  • Granulated sugar

    500 g

  • Almonds

    130 g

  • Chicken egg

    4 piece

  • Soda

    4 g

  • Milk

  • Salt

Sift the flour together with the bicarbonate, add sugar, almonds, eggs, salt. knead the dough, if your dough is slightly firm, add 1-2 tablespoons of milk.

Divide the dough into 3 parts, each part to form strips with a width of 3 cm Cover the baking sheet with parchment paper. to lay out the stripes with a good distance from each other. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes
