I've looked through all the recipes for brine. Basically was offered a cookie. I test baked bagels. The dough is crumbly and not too sweet.

Cooking
In the brine pour the sugar and stir well.
Add the half-full glass of vegetable oil. Pour a little package of vanillin. This mass is thoroughly mixed.
To put the flour baking powder. The flour, in parts, put it to the ground and gently, by hand, whisk. Knead elastic dough.
Cheat of dough bagels with toppings you like. I had a piece of Apple marmalade. How to twist a bagel will not describe, as everybody knows. The top of the bagels I greased tea brewing and sprinkled with vanilla sugar.
Bake at 200°C for 15-20 minutes until Golden brown.
The finished bagels are still warm, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
The taste of the brine is not felt. I want to give advice: use for baking fresh brine, not the one who waited a week in your fridge. The taste is not the same.
