Cooking
Despite the current economic situation in Greece, the difficult situation and a number of critical comments in her direction, this small country has played a huge role in the history of Europe. Western political institutions, art, science - all were born here. The Greeks love to dance and of course eat. At 350g. BC in Greece was written the first cookbook. It includes such recipes as grape leaves with minced meat (something similar to our stuffed cabbage) and meatballs. In Greek cooking spare neither butter nor vegetable oil (especially olive respect), no tomatoes, no pepper, no seasoning, no herbs. Treats of vegetables are innumerable. And here is one of them...
Take 4 fresh cucumber of medium size and cut in half lengthwise.
Next, prepare the stuffing: minced meat or chopped meat (another option - it's a meat substitute any mushrooms) mixed with chopped onions, pre-boiled rice or softened white bread, add raw (or hard-boiled and chopped) eggs, parsley, dill, salt, pepper. All carefully mix...
And, taking out each half of the cucumber core, stuff them with stuffing...
Well filled half cucumber cover empty, tied thread. (I'm a bit overdone, can be quite a bit tied up, so then had no problem removing the thread)
Laid in fire-resistant, oiled bowl. A few spoonfuls of sour cream or yogurt mixed with tomato paste (optional in the sauce, add a little flour). And the resulting sauce pour the prepared cucumbers, sprinkle them with lemon juice and let simmer with the lid on for 20 minutes.
Ready cucumbers spread on a dish, carefully remove the bone, sprinkle with greens of dill, parsley and served with white bread.
