                            Apples peel and cut into small slices.                        
                     
                                    
                                                
                        
                            In a pan put the rice, cover with cold water.                        
                     
                                    
                                                
                        
                            Add the sliced apples, sugar, coconut and spices (ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves) and mix well.                        
                     
                                    
                                                
                        
                            Bring to a boil, then cook over low heat, covered for 25-30 minutes until tender.
