Pea soup with caramelized onions

Ingredients

  • Peas

    0.5 cup

  • Water

    1.5 l

  • Salt

  • Allspice

  • Paprika sweet

    1 tsp

  • Seasoning

    1 Tbsp

  • Green beans

    1 handful

  • Broccoli

    1 coup

  • Spinach

    2 handful

  • Dill

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Vegetable oil

    1 Tbsp

  • Honey

    1 Tbsp

Cooking

Peas rinse well, cover with water, bring to boil and cook at low boil for 40 minutes

I used yellow split peas Idaho TM "Mistral".

Broccoli and green beans cut into small pieces.

When peas is almost ready, add all spices, salt and pepper to taste and beans. Cook 10 minutes.

Then put broccoli, spinach and dill and cook for another 3-5 minutes.

Ready soup to stand for about 5 minutes and beat with a blender until homogeneous puree.

While the soup is brewing, make caramelized onion. For this onion cut into rings and fry in vegetable oil until Golden brown.

Then add the honey and cook stirring occasionally for 5 minutes.

Pour the soup into a bowl and put the top bow. Serve with crackers or, as I like my son, with vegetable chips.
