Thick lentil soup with oranges
The recipe for this soup I found 10 years ago in the new year edition of a magazine, and he is interested in me from its composition, - cooked and not the least bit sorry! Then even the fussiest of eaters my daughter rated it "excellent"! Now the competition remembered it, decided to repeat and to share with you - maybe someone will like! Soy sauce added to the soup a new taste note! This soup can be cooked like a meat version and a meatless, serve in the soup or leave as is - you decide, but in any form it is very tasty, hearty and unusual!

Ingredients

  • Lentils

    100 g

  • Pumpkin

    200 g

  • Carrots

    60 g

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Garlic

    1 tooth

  • Brisket

  • Orange

    1 piece

  • Soy sauce

    2 Tbsp

  • Broth

    1 l

  • Greens

  • Salt

  • Allspice

First, prepare all the necessary products: washed pumpkin and carrot cut into a small dice (as they say, convenient for eating), orange peel and also chop, collect it in a bowl along with the separated juice. Onion cut into small dice, garlic peel, crush the wide side of a knife and chop (not advised in this case a garlic press!)

Pancetta/bacon cut into strips, fry in a pan, add to the pan the onion and garlic, fry until light zolotisty onions,

Set aside the pan aside. (If not enough bacon fat, add 1 tbsp of vegetable oil).

Heat the broth (or boiled water), pour in the lentils. Persian lentil cooks quickly, so I just along with it, added pumpkin and carrot, cook on medium heat for 15-20 minutes until cooked vegetables. (the lentils can take any, taste and color of the soup has virtually not changed for the first time I cooked with the usual green/swamp lentils).

At the very end add the oranges and dried herbs (fresh is better to add when serving), very well with this soup goes well dill, I think that the parsley is not too bad. Poured into plates or pots, sprinkle with greens, garnish with orange slices, sprinkle with fresh pepper and serve!
