Cooking
This recipe makes 1 jar of capacity 500 ml. Jar I washed and rinsed them with boiling water. Beets peel, grate on a fine grater and squeeze the juice.
Onion peel, make deep incisions to the bottom of the bulb, but not cutting through it to the end. I made the cuts so to make 8 wedges. In this form, douse the onions with boiling water and put into the prepared jar.
In a small saucepan, pour water, vinegar, beet juice. Add salt, sugar and seasonings. Bring all to a boil. Once the marinade is boiling, pour in the soy sauce and turn off heat. Pour the hot brine onions. To pop the bulbs were completely submerged in the marinade, I cut out the parchment circle and stack it on top. Banks close and leave for a day at room temperature, then remove for storage in the refrigerator.
Tried pickled onions we after two days. It is well painted and marinated. Acidity is very noticeable, so, if you wish, you can add more sugar to the marinade. Hold such workpiece in the refrigerator for up to one month. Though perhaps longer, but we are not so much places! :)
