Kapustnyak with chicken and lentils
Simple, delicious, hearty entree. Time to prepare requires a little preparing is not troublesome. And very budget that quite important. Try it, it's delicious!

Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet

    300 g

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Tomato juice

    200 ml

  • Cabbage

    250 g

  • Lentils

    150 g

  • Water

    2500 ml

  • Coriander

    0.5 tsp

  • Seasoning

    1 tsp

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

  • Olive oil

    2 Tbsp

Cooking

Lentils (cooked brown) washed and soaked for a couple of hours in cold water (I soaked overnight)

Onion cut into half rings. In a saucepan, heat the olive oil (sunflower) and fry the onion until soft.

Chicken (I made chicken thighs) cut into small pieces and put it to the onions. Fry on medium heat until the meat turns white, stirring constantly. (3 minutes)

Pour into a saucepan the tomato juice, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.

Add shredded cabbage, cover and simmer on medium heat for 10-12 minutes (until soft cabbage)

Pour hot water (broth), bring to the boil, add the lentils. (pre-lentils, rinse). Season the soup with spices, salt and pepper to taste. Cook the soup until the lentils are tender,10-15 minutes. Remove from heat, cover and let stand half an hour.
