Chiffon honey cake with caramelized apples
This recipe for honey butter replaced by vegetable, due to this, the cakes are incredibly tender and soft. A nice addition in the form of caramel apples gives a new taste of favorite cake. For the recipe thank you Marina Vodolazhskaya

Prepare the dough. Mix eggs, honey, sugar, salt, vegetable oil, baking soda.

Put on a small fire (on water bath)and heated, stirring constantly. The mixture will turn white, [they will foam and will be about double. Add about half of the total flour and, stirring constantly, cook for 2-3 minutes.

Remove from the heat and gradually we pour the remaining flour. You may need more or less. The finished dough should be soft, tender and slightly sticky. After cooling, it becomes denser, and it will be easy to roll out. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and leave at room temperature for 3-4 hours.

Prepare the cream. Combine sugar, flour and vanilla sugar. I like to use vanilla sugar with natural vanilla from "Dr. Oetker". He is free from artificial ingredients, gives the dish a terrific flavor, and I love how beautiful specks of vanilla look in the dessert)

Add to dry mixture the egg yolks.

Pour a little milk (about 100 ml, taken from the total weight), mix thoroughly, rubs all lumps.

The rest of the milk bring to the boil, pour, constantly stirring, into the yolk mixture and heated again, do not stop stirring over low heat until thick. Put the dishes with cream in a bowl of ice water and cool, stirring, until warm. Cover with cling film so that its surface touched the surface of the cream and let cool to room temperature.

Softened butter (remove from refrigerator 2-3 hours before cooking)whisk until fluffy and, continuing to whisk, introduce the butter in 1 table. spoon custard base.

Bake cakes. I divided the dough into 8 parts, you can of course do more or less. Roll out every part very thinly and bake at 200 deg. I have each cake was baked for exactly 3 minutes. Ready cake should be Golden brown.

Prepare caramel apples. In a bowl with a thick bottom pour the sugar and heat on low heat, do not stir until you see that the edges of the sugar began to melt. Gently shaking the dishes, help the sugar to dissolve completely, add the butter, stir until it dissolves. Add sliced apples and simmer for about 5 minutes (the time depends on the apples). The apples should be soft but not falling apart. Allow to cool.
