Porridge of quinoa
Recently discovered quinoa cereal and has really taken to it for its nutty taste, texture and aroma, as well as the contents of a large number of nutrients (which in General is common to all cereals). Most often use quinoa as a garnish to the second dish or added to salads and pastries. But I want to share the recipe dairy sweet porridge of quinoa as a nutritious and healthy Breakfast.

Ingredients

  • Quinoa

    1 cup

  • Milk

    1 cup

  • Water

    1 cup

  • Walnuts

    30 g

  • Honey

    2 tsp

Cooking quinoa takes one part of grits and two parts liquid. I took one Cup quinoa, one Cup milk and one Cup of water (you can take two glasses of milk, as you like). If desired, the cereal can be rinsed, but this time I did not, because I read that this is washed out and part of nutrients. I don't know how this is so really..

Grits, pour cold water and milk, bring to boil and cook under lid for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Quinoa absorbs all the liquid and get crumbly. If you want grits stronger seethe, it is possible before cooking to soak it in water for 10 minutes. You can also increase the amount of milk.

In the finished porridge I add honey (1 tsp per serving) and walnuts. The combination turned out very delicious! You can also decorate the top with berries, bananas or dried fruit (in this case honey should not be added, because bananas and dried fruit will give the necessary sweetness).
