Description

Australian banana cake
"In Australia it's called "pudding", to be exact - the "Upside-down pudding with caramelized bananas" - so wrote the author of the recipe. I saw him in "VK". Made yesterday and not a moment regretted. I did not expect. I thought, well, a muffin and a cupcake... But it's so soft, tender, very flavorful, very nutty, very banana!!! Super! Today my gift to Tanya (Mthatha), I hope that he will enjoy.

Cooking

step-0
To prepare products for the dough and the filling. Grease with butter a form for baking 22-24 cm in diameter or standard cake pan with a capacity of about 2 L. Hazelnuts folded into a coffee grinder or blender and grind into a fine crumb, not allowing to heat up. Turn the oven to 160*C.
step-1
2 bananas cut into thin slices.
step-2
Melt 20 g butter in a pan, on medium heat, until foaming. Put in pan with half of the bananas and simmer over low heat for about 1 minute.
step-3
Immediately put them in the prepared pan. The same repeat with the remaining bananas.
step-4
Beat 125 g of butter with the sugar until creamy. Add the eggs one by one, each time well whisking.
step-5
Flour mixed with baking powder, pour in oil mixture in two stages, each time whisking until smooth.
step-6
Then stir in the dough nuts.
step-7
The third banana to RUB on a small grater, mash add to the batter and mix by hand, just to combine.
step-8
Spread batter over bananas and smooth.
step-9
Bake for 1 hour or until a wooden skewer will come out clean. To give the cake to cool in pan for 10 minutes,
step-10
then gently turn on a plate. If anything stick to the bottom of the form — carefully remove and place on pie.
step-11
And while the pie sits in the oven, it is necessary to prepare the frosting.
step-12
Mix the sugar and water in a small saucepan. Put on the fire and wait until the sugar melts and does not change its color to amber.
step-13
In another saucepan heat cream. Very carefully pour the hot cream into the caramel, stir and remove from heat. Add to the mix broken into pieces chocolate,
step-14
Stir, until it is completely dissolved. You can use ready-made frosting, for example, firm "Dr. Oetker".
step-15
Pour the cake icing and serve. I must say that the frosting for this recipe I didn't like it turned liquid and flowed out of the cake. It is necessary to modify it or choose another recipe.
