Barley porridge with vegetables

Ingredients

  • Carrots

    1 piece

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Barley groats

    2.5 cup

  • Tomato paste

    1 Tbsp

  • Vegetable oil

  • Salt

Vegetables clean. Carrots grate on a coarse grater, onion cut into cubes.

In a roasting pan with a thick bottom pour vegetable oil layer of 1 cm, heat, add onions and carrots.

Fry until Golden brown.

Add the tomato paste, put the washed barley groats. Pour boiling water 1 cm above the grains (get crumbly mess). For viscous - 2 cm, salt. Bring to boil, cover and leave to languish on low heat for 30 minutes.

After the specified time, remove the lid, stir, try for salt.
