Rice-millet cereal with sauerkraut
Once, when I visited Ukraine, I watched from the sidelines for the experienced cook, as she prepared fancy porridge on a large number of people. Of course, to prepare this porridge she used sauerkraut and butter homemade, homemade milk and thick cream, eggs. And when this mess was delivered, all the guests emptied their plates - so tasty was this mess! It's been about 14 years, and I could not forget the taste of the porridge, but the recipe I could not get. Searched the Internet, asked the relatives from the Ukraine, but all to no avail. And here, specifically to this project, my relative got in touch with the cook and on the phone gave me the recipe for this porridge. My joy knew no bounds! In Ukraine serves this mess, generously pouring zazharku of fat and onions, but we liked porridge without it.

  • Milk

    480 ml

  • Sour cream

This dish I easily prepared in multivarka Vitek VT-4205 VK. Ready porridge makes about 2 liters, so if you want to get less cereal, reduce the ingredients proportionally. Very sour sauerkraut washed in cold water if the cabbage home and not sour, rinse it is not necessary. Cabbage put in a bowl multivarki.

Add water and turn on the software to "Cook" for 40 minutes.

Then well washed rice and millet.

Ten minutes before the end add in the bowl multivarki rice and millet.

Mix cereals with cooked sauerkraut.

Mixing another 10 minutes, i.e. until the end of the program.

Add milk, salt to taste, mix porridge.

Include the program "Porridge" for 35 minutes. After 10 minutes, stir the porridge and cook further 10 minutes with the lid closed.

At this time, well, whip the cream with the eggs.

Add in the cereal, sour cream, beaten eggs, in small portions, stirring constantly.

Add butter, mix.

And mixing before the end of the program. Turn off the slow cooker, but the porridge did not immediately open - give it to infuse for about 20 minutes. As I wrote, serve this porridge with zazharku of fat and onions, but we liked porridge without it. Bon appétit!
