Pozharsky cutlets
With the history of these cutlets is linked to different legends. One of them says : Pozharskiy — the name of the innkeeper from Torzhok, which, according to the stories, had dinner, Emperor Nicholas I during his trip from St. Petersburg to Moscow. In the lunch menu consisted of veal cutlets. But Pozharsky at the time veal was found, and he cooked patties of chicken meat. Dish the Emperor liked it and he called the burgers "Pozharskii". The second legend is as follows: Pushkin while traveling from St. Petersburg to Moscow, stopped at Pozharsky and tried it meatballs. So it was or not, but in any case, the poet left the memory of them in his poetical letter to his friend Sobolevski: "At leisure autobody At Pozharsky in Torzhok, Fried cutlets try And go light." Whatever the origin of these burgers had not, one thing is clear – they are delicious!
