I was a kid in 80 years, the books on cooking, almost was not, but each family had a notebook with recipes. This book still keeps my mom's recipes passed on "word of mouth", and then carefully recorded. I started to prepare with these recipes, simple, home. Huge emphasis on baking. Now I have the book Xeroxed, this recipe hails from childhood, why it was called "Kyiv cake", probably because of the nuts. One time baked it very often, and after 15 years, I have again become a frequent guest on the table, because simple, fast and delicious!

Here is the page with the recipe. Called the cake "Kyiv", but I must say this is not the cake, they are United by the presence of only nuts. I now bake a half portion, it turns out this big cake, soda partially replaced by baking powder, and margarine instead of butter.
Peanuts have to fry ( I'm doing this in the microwave) and clean.
In the eggs add the sugar.
Beat with a mixer until whitening.
In yogurt mix the soda, the mass will foam.
Kefir pour into the egg mixture. Add the melted butter.
Pour the sifted flour with cocoa and baking powder.
I stir a shovel, mixer is not in use when I enter the flour, and quickly trying not to upset the batter. Stir in the peanuts.
That is obtained the dough.
Form grease with vegetable oil and pour the dough. Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven until tender.
The finished cake, I poured melted chocolate and sprinkled with chopped peanuts.
