Description

Spelt soup with potato dumplings
Not going to say much about the benefits of spelt. Probably everyone knows that there are many useful minerals and vitamins, high protein and low – gluten. I'll just say that this spelt soup is not enough that useful (which is important in the post), but very tasty, hearty and tender. I think he will enjoy, and kids.

Cooking

step-0
To start boil 1.5 l of water three potatoes. Water salting is not necessary.
step-1
Meanwhile, sort and rinse the spelt.
step-2
Peel and finely chop the carrots and onion.
step-3
Potatoes cooked? Remove it, and in the broth put the washed spelt. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or fork (special care needed) and leave a little bit to cool down. Meanwhile passeruem in vegetable oil onions and carrots, you can add your favorite spices. I love hops-suneli. Carrots change the color – put it in the pan to spelled.
step-4
Let us dumplings. In the slightly cooled mashed potatoes add the soy sauce (I have "Kikkoman") and a spoon of vegetable oil. Also you can pivchaynoyi spoons hops-suneli or ground coriander to add. Mix well.
step-5
And pouring a little bit of flour (I have rye, but it's not that important), knead the dough. It is important not to overdo it with the flour and the gnocchi will be tough, but nedolozhit – too bad: can fall apart. I had the two tablespoons. Formed here are sausages with a diameter of two inches, cut them in washers, just pripuskova plug (for greater beauty:)).
step-6
After 15 minutes of boil joint spelt and contents put in a pot of dumplings and half a tin of canned corn with liquid. If using frozen corn, then it is better to put immediately after a roast, and let the sauce to boil together for 10 minutes, and then dumplings.
step-7
Cook on low heat for about five minutes, until the dumplings start floating, add salt to taste, put the herbs (I had frozen dill), Bay leaf.
