The shank with honey sauce
With the advent of cold weather, our family loves to gather around the table with tasty pork knuckle and dark beer! I want to share my recipe with You, maybe You will join our tradition?

Ingredients

  • Knuckle

    1 piece

  • The Apium graveolens Dulce

    2 piece

  • Carrots

    2 piece

  • Onion

    2 piece

  • Allspice

    8 piece

  • Carnation

    6 piece

  • Salt

  • Ginger

    2 tsp

  • Dark beer

    100 g

  • Soy sauce

    3 Tbsp

  • Honey

    2 Tbsp

  • Garlic

    6 tooth

Cooking

Knuckle flush and soak in cold water for 2 hours. Knife well it will scrape and wash again under running water.

In a large pot with a knuckle of pork, coarsely chopped carrots, onions and whole spices. Fill with water to cover the knuckle. Salt. Bring to a boil and remove foam. Cook on slow heat for 2.5-3 hours. Allow to cool the shanks in the broth.

Prepare the sauce. Mix beer with soy sauce and honey.

Knuckle well grate garlic and put in a refractory form. Put the knuckle in the oven with temperature 180 degree and bake 40-50 minutes. Do not forget to pour the cooked sauce every 7-10 minutes!!!
