Red soup with pork and lentils
Ideally, the lentils should be red, but in the nearest grocery store so was not, there was only green, and scour the city in search of is not wanted. This is important only one thing: the cooking time is different. Green lentils is cooked 40 minutes. Another deviation from the basic recipe – I poured the meat and vegetables with water and pre-cooked broth. So the taste is more intense. And the broth, contrary to persistent beliefs, salted right and cooked under the lid – it did not make him troubled. Boil the broth. To do this, all the bones cover with cold water, bring to boil, remove the foam, add salt, turnips, bouquet Garni, hot chili pepper whole, reduce the heat to low, cover and cook for 2 hours. Meanwhile, prepare the basic ingredients. Pork shoulder to remove bone, the bone to send to the broth. The flesh is cut into pieces of about 15-20 grams.

Two hours from the broth, remove bones, peppercorns and the vegetables, strain the broth, cover with a lid to keep it hot. In a heavy-bottomed pan or pot heat vegetable oil on high heat fry the meat until it will turn brown, turning occasionally – about 15 minutes.

Add to the meat onions and garlic, cook, stirring, for another 5 minutes.

Add to the pot the carrots and pepper, fry, stirring, for 5 minutes, then add a couple of soup ladles of broth and another 5 minutes to simmer in the broth.

Finally send to the rest of the ingredients to the tomatoes together with the juice from the jar. If large – can be pre-cut into 2-4 pieces. Mix well, saute together for another 5 minutes.

Pour the broth so that there is a place for lentils. Reduce the heat to the pan only poulkovo, cook for 30 minutes.

Give the broth to boil again, add pre-washed (do not need to soak!) lentils, again, reduce the heat and cook for 40 minutes.
