Layer cake with cherries
My favorite summer pie! It is delicious, very fruity and, most importantly, easy!

Ingredients

  • The dough is flaky unleavened

    1 pack

  • Cherry

    500 g

  • Sugar

    3 Tbsp

  • Potato starch

    3 tsp

  • Chicken egg

    1 piece

To begin with we put to warm up our oven, set the temperature of 180-200. Next, defrost the puff pastry, in summer conditions thawed in 15 minutes.

While the dough is defrosted, remove the pits from cherries.

Add in the cherries, 3 tablespoons sugar and 3 teaspoons of cornstarch, all mix well. The cherries will give the juice, and that's great, that's the whole point of our cake!

By this time our dough is completely thawed. Roll out 1 layer and spread in the form of our future cake. Put the filling and evenly distribute it over the surface with the juice. Next, the edges of the dough slightly bend and brush with egg white.

From the second layer of dough cut into strips and make a lattice on top of the cake.

Then around the cake also put a long strip (the cake will look neater). The entire surface of the dough grease egg yolk, you can also sprinkle a little sugar (a bit!) for Shine.

And bake until Golden brown. When baking, the filling will rise slightly, in this case, you can pierce with a knife.

Also after baking, when the cake is completely cooled, you're ready to decorate the cake, sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar (more for aesthetics you should do it through a small strainer).
