Walnut pesto and purple Basil
Pesto is an Italian sauce of Basil, olive oil and cheese. You can experiment by adding different nuts or herbs.

Ingredients

  • Basil

    2 coup

  • Walnuts

    1.5 cup

  • Parmesan

    100 g

  • Garlic

    5 tooth

  • Olive oil

    4 Tbsp

  • Lemon

    1 tsp

  • Salt

1. To roast the walnuts.

2. When nuts are cooled, cleaned

3. Pour into the chopper bowl nuts and turn on the blender for exactly 1 second. (the nuts turned into butter)

4. Basil wash, lay out on a paper towel to drain the water.

9. Mix well, add olive oil and lemon juice

10. Because the chopper bowl is not big, this lot I divided into 2-3 parts individually and was crushed.

11. The processed food I put in the dishes. Then all the mass I shuffled and returned back to the bowl of the grinder to completely grind to a thick paste. To taste, if necessary, add salt.

Note: Italian Parmesan cheese I substituted cheese "Jugas". It is much cheaper and not inferior in taste. Also cook pesto with almonds. Very tasty. It is advisable to take mixed Basil (green + purple), then the taste will be richer, and the color is more green. You can also add any herbs (mint, parsley, cilantro). Experiment, it's very interesting!
