Stuffed liver
The recipe is from the book "Kitchen of the world", "Balkan cuisine". Interesting way of stuffing of the liver with smoked bacon.

Ingredients

  • Beef liver

    1 kg

  • Bacon

    200 g

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Vegetable oil

    4 Tbsp

  • Parsley

    4 Tbsp

  • Bread crumbs

    2 Tbsp

  • Chicken egg

    1 piece

  • Sour cream

    0.5 cup

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

The liver is deeply notched along the edge to make a pocket. In a frying pan in vegetable oil fry the finely chopped bacon, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, parsley. Remove from heat, cool.

In a separate bowl beat the egg with sour cream.

Mix toasted bacon and egg-sour cream mixture.

Stuff with the mixture the liver, put in a baking dish, drizzle with vegetable oil. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes. Then the liver and season with salt and add to the form some hot water and put in the oven for another 5 minutes.
