Description

Traditional Christmas wreath with four candles symbolizing the light that will illumine the world with the birth of Christ is an attribute of Lutheranism, came to us from Germany... Traditional Christmas wreath with candles placed horizontally, for example, put on the table. A wreath (without candles) hanging on the wall or on the door. For example, in Germany Christmas wreath you can see in the altar of the Church and on the dining table. On the streets, wreaths with glowing lights decorate the shops and showrooms, offices of firms. But today I made a Christmas wreath from a test on an old German recipe, excerpted from the German book "Brot und Brotchen". For the contest "new year tastes of the planet."

Cooking

step-0
Of these recipes, prepare the dough. Mix flour, sugar, yeast, salt, vanilla sugar, lemon zest. Then add small portions of milk and begin to knead the dough. Add the melted butter, stir. Then the egg yolks and carefully stir the mixture for about 10 minutes. Then shape dough into a ball, place it in a pan, cover with a damp towel and place in a warm place for proofing. The volume of the dough should double in size. The dough increased? Knead it very quickly on the working surface of the table. And we can start making our rolls. I came easily prepared from all the ingredients the dough in the bread maker.
step-1
While our dough is suitable, we knife chop the raisins and pour his rum (brandy). Allow to stand for about 30 minutes. Then filter and mix the raisins with the other ingredients of the filling.
step-2
Poppy pour into a saucepan, pour the milk, add sugar and put on fire. Proverjaem until thick and cooled.
step-3
Getting started with the approaching test. Get it out of the pan or bowl of the bread machine and quickly abenaim.
step-4
Roll out the dough in a rectangular layer approximately 25 cm X 40 cm
step-5
From one narrow side cut 10 cm of the test.
step-6
For the filling, mix the prepared poppy seed mixture, raisins, chopped almonds. Half of the rectangular layer of dough along the long side spread the filling. The filling will flip a coin (I wrapped it in foil), to whom she will get that luck. Ahead of the event say that this coin went to my eldest son. It will be lucky and he really needs now! :-) :-) :-)
step-7
Turn our dough stuffed with roll.
step-8
Spread the roll ring (wreath) on a greased baking sheet or silicone baking Mat (like me). The ends of the roll connected to the ring, brushing with egg white.
step-9
Take the cut off piece of dough and roll out it a strip 12 cm wide.
step-10
This strip placed on the connection point of the roll into a ring and tying a knot.
step-11
In the center of the wreath put a fireproof bowl or an empty tin can, suitable diameter.
step-12
Whisk egg with 1 tbsp milk or water. This mixture to lubricate the wreath and bow. Kitchen scissors at an angle to make cuts around the circle of the wreath. Incisions should not be large. Wreath bake in the preheated oven. At t 200* - 5 minutes, and then diminish t to 180*C. Bake for 35-40 minutes. It all depends on the oven, you need to follow pastries. Baked and cooled wreath decorate with icing made from powdered sugar and lemon juice.
step-13
It turns out to be a wonderful holiday "Christmas wreath"! Real decoration of the festive table!!!
step-14
step-15
And this is our delicious and very fragrant wreath cut! Mmmmmmmmmm...delicious!!!
