The chicken cacciatori
Recipe from the Gastronom magazine Greek edition. This is the chicken Cacciatore and a little bit of history about this title: "-In Italian cacciatorе hunter, and dishes Alla cacciatori (bird or rabbit) cooked in the pot -consists of red sauce, vegetables-peppers, carrots, and even olives. It is believed that returning home from the forest, hunters with the prey brought mushrooms and fragrant wild herbs, in short, everything I found on the road, so the ingredients often depended on the time of year and location.   • Broth

    200 ml

  • Dry red wine

    200 ml

  • Tomato

    450 g

  • Pepper

    300 g

  • Red onion

    1 piece

  • Chicken

    1500 g

Mushroom soak in advance.

Chicken salt and pepper. Fry it on both sides in a skillet in a well-heated oil (half of this in the ingredients), put in the prepared capacity, the grease and oil to pour out.

Pour the remaining oil and fry the onion until soft Chesnok.

Add pepper, put out the wine, simmer for 3-4 minutes to evaporate the alcohol, add the broth and simmer for 5 minutes.

Add sugar and tomatoes, bring to boil.

Pour the sauce on the chicken, add the mushrooms and reduce the heat to low, cover...

Choose pieces of cooked chicken and keep warm.

The sauce boil down until thick, add the remaining spices and seasonings if necessary with salt and pepper.
