Potato gratin with cabbage
Hearty, delicious and flavorful dish! Not diet! Tried the "Potato" on one of the autumn fairs, and now this dish is a frequent guest on our table. Go you! Treat!

Ingredients

  • Potatoes

    1 kg

  • Sauerkraut

    400 g

  • Bacon

    200 g

  • Onion

    2 piece

  • Cumin

    1 tsp

  • Sugar

    0.5 tsp

  • Salt

    1 tsp

  • Sunflower oil

    3 Tbsp

  • Chicken egg

    2 piece

  • Garlic

    2 tooth

  • Flour

    100 g

  • Leavening agent

    1 tsp

  • Marjoram

    1 tsp

Cooking

Finely chop the onion. Bacon cut into pieces

In vegetable oil fry the onion and bacon.

Add sauerkraut and caraway. If you have cabbage dry, add a little water. Stir, reduce the heat, cover and simmer until tender cabbage.

Ready cabbage put in a bowl. Cool.

Potatoes peel and RUB on a medium grater. Slightly larger than the hash Browns. Spread on a sieve to drain excess liquid. I'm still a little drained potatoes.

To add to Certosa potatoes, eggs, salt, marjoram. Add the garlic, passed through chesnokodavku. Mix well.

Mix in separate bowl the flour and baking powder. Mix well. Add to the potatoes. Mix well.

Spread half of the potato mass to form. Flatten with a spoon.

The potato layer, spread a layer of cabbage. Flatten.

On top of the cabbage layer again spread the potato layer. Flatten. Bake at 180*C for 40-45 minutes.

In the middle of baking, remove the pan from the oven, brush the top of the casserole with melted butter or lard. This casserole will have a beautiful and appetizing appearance.
