Sweet Gules
Egyptian sweetness: fragrant, crispy and juicy; resembles baklava, but without the nuts; with custard. A delicious treat for lovers of Oriental sweets and the sweet tooth. Cooked very easily and quickly.

I only did a quarter of a serving, so the number of listed products is not very big, in fact, the recipe contains each ingredient 4 times more. So, first prepare a light thin sugar syrup - flavored drink: 1 Cup (250 ml) sugar 180 ml of water and 3 cardamom pods bring to the boil over medium heat, add 4-5 drops of lemon juice and a packet of vanilla, boil on low heat for 5 minutes. Cool. The syrup we need some of the coldest.

Prepare the custard: carefully RUB the yolk, 50 g sugar, 10 g flour and 1 g of vanillin, mixed with a little white. Bring 135 ml of milk to boil, pour it into some milk to yolk mixture, stir and combine with milk completely.

Cook on a medium heat until thick. Turns smooth shiny custard.

I love Filo pastry, and dishes of Serbian, Turkish and Egyptian cuisine out of it, both sweet and not. I don't have a small rectangular shape, so I divided each sheet of Filo into 4 parts, in the end I came out 20 squares. It is necessary to coat the form with oil and put half of the leaves (in my case 10 squares) each other, the surface of each of which is accurately melted butter. Do not miss the corners of sheets.
