Easter cake from Elena Kalinina
The recipe for this cake I found 2 years ago on another site. Elena Kalinina got it from my grandmother. Will tell you that these tasty cakes I ever eat! And absolutely not difficult, and a minimum of products... the Cake does not crumble, crumb is tender and airy like brioche, not stale for a long time and most importantly - the cakes always work for everyone (even my friend who absolutely does not know how oven baked chic mud pies...). With permission from Lena I decided to share with you this wonderful recipe, but half of the ingredients.

  • Milk

    750 ml

  • Sugar

  • Butter

    125 g

  • Chicken egg

    3 piece

  • Yeast

    25 g

  • Vanilla

    1 pack

  • Raisins

    150 g

  • Flour

    1.5 kg

  • Gelatin

    1 tsp

  • Water

  • Starch

    2 Tbsp

  • Salt

  • Vegetable oil

    6 Tbsp

Crumble the yeast and pour 0.5 cups of warm boiled water, mash with hand and add 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 tablespoon flour.

Mix the infused milk with the flour with yeast mixture, mix and allow to rise.

The remaining warm boiled milk to pour in the yeast mixture and add the sifted flour so that the dough was as pancakes. And in a warm place to approach. Here the dough has approached.

Dry soak the raisins with boiling water, then drain the water, dry well and mix with the starch.

Hot grease frosting and decorate at will. I got a problem... I didn't have enough eggs for the glaze. But it doesn't matter! We have the Internet! I searched and found the perfect icing, which does not crumble. 1 teaspoon of gelatin pour 2 tablespoons of water for 5 minutes. 1 Cup sugar to combine with 4 tablespoons of water, heat on low heat until the sugar is dissolved. In the obtained syrup, add the swollen gelatin and mix well to dissolve the gelatin. Then beat with a mixer until white, about 2-3 minutes. Allow to cool to lukewarm. Then I did: glaze was divided into 2 parts and one part was added 2 teaspoons of cocoa. Are well mixed. You can make several colors using turmeric, beet juice and carrot juice. Then brush coated the cake with white frosting. The top dripped a little brown icing and made the stains with toothpick. The glaze will thicken after 5 minutes. If your frosting has thickened before covering cakes, you can add 1 tablespoon hot water and stir.
