It turned out very delicious side dish that is not ashamed to submit even on the holiday table. Googled and learned what is a gratin? It turns out that I can call any dish, such as seafood, chicken, vegetables or soup, cooked in sauce and cheese and baked in the oven.

Cooking
Potatoes peeled and cut into thin slices or cubes. Spread on a baking sheet or pan.
Cook the mixture, which will fill the potatoes. First, beat the egg, add milk and 100 g grated cheese.
Pour this mixture our potatoes, a little presses and level it, pepper and a little salt (salt as there is cheese, so you shouldn't overdo it)
Cover it with slices of butter and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
We bring our dish to the boil and cover with a lid, put in oven for 30 minutes. Then remove the lid and leave for another 15 minutes for Browning of the cheese.
