Traditional Christmas cake of Lombardy, one of the regions of Italy. This pie belongs to "the family" bread panettone. Very tasty and flavorful!!! For the contest "new year tastes of the planet."

Cooking
Butter to soften. Mix the flour with the yeast SAF - moment cake. Add the flour and warm water and start kneading the dough. Gradual enter the sugar, yolks, salt, zest, candied fruit, raisins and softened butter.
Knead a soft elastic dough (if necessary little by little add the warm water, I don't need). Put the dough in a bowl, cover with a damp towel and put in warm place to "approach". The dough should increase approximately in two times. Then we spread our dough on the table and a little abenaim.
Brush with oil and sprinkle with flour of high baking dish (for cake, but the real shape is reminiscent of a Christmas star). Fill the form with dough up to half of the volume. Leave the form with the dough in a warm place to increase in volume twice.
Put the form in a pre-heated oven. Temperature of 180*C for 30-40 minutes. The aroma of freshly baked bread remind myself. The finished cake remove from the oven and allow it to cool a little in shape. Then take out and let cool on wire rack for 1-2 hours.
Then decorate the cake on your own. I saw it as a tree. Because cut it into 6 pieces - circles.
Egg whites whipped with powdered sugar. And started to assemble the pie in a single unit accurately a circle of beaten egg whites. Not combining faces into a single line.
I got such a lovely tree. On top I also missed the whites.
And sprinkled with green coconut. Why not herringbone?
