Cooking
To combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add the pieces of cold butter and all grind into crumbs with a mixer or by hand.
To remove the zest from the orange and lemon. A squeeze of lemon juice.
Into crumbs, add the cream, lemon juice, lemon zest and orange. Knead the dough. The dough will be sticky.
Put the dough on a floured surface, hands also dusted with flour. To sformirovat rectangle with a thickness of 1 cm.
Cut the rectangle into 6 squares, caidic square diagonally into 2 triangles and each triangle in half yet. Scones during baking greatly increase in size and if you cut every quadrant only 2 (not 4) triangle, the scones will turn out much big and sloppy (tested!).
Spread triangles on a baking sheet with parchment paper, brush with melted butter and bake for 20 -25 minutes in a preheated 200 *C (400*F) oven until light Golden color.
For the glaze, remove the zest from orange and squeeze the juice.
To combine the powdered sugar, juice and zest. Mix well until smooth. The powder is of varying quality, so you may need slightly more or less. The consistency of the glaze should be as thick cream, that she would not run off with scones, and remained at them and froze. If you get the icing too thick add a little bit of juice, but if the liquid - a little bit of powder.
To give the scones to cool completely and teaspoon spread on them the icing and spread over the entire surface. Leave for 5 minutes what would the glaze set.
Scones are very fragrant and stay soft for several days.
