Russischer Zupfkuchen
Recipe taken from German cookbook Zupfkuchen from the word Zupfen-pull, tear.

Ingredients

  • Flour

    450 g

  • Cocoa powder

    40 g

  • Leavening agent

    3 tsp

  • Sugar

    450 g

  • Vanilla

    4 pack

  • Chicken egg

    6 piece

  • Margarine

    500 g

  • Curd

    1 kg

  • Pudding vanilla

    2 pack

Sugar, vanilla, eggs and margarine and mix, add the cocoa, baking powder and flour, knead the dough. Grease the baking sheet lightly with vegetable oil and spread 2/3 of the dough evenly over the surface with your hands. The pan needs to be deep, or to put in a low pan detachable frame for cakes.

For the filling, mix eggs with sugar and vanilla, add cottage cheese and pudding powder, mix well, add melted margarine. Stir until smooth and spread on top of dough.

The remaining dough (1/3) spread on the surface, pinching off pieces of different sizes.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 deg. 45-50 minutes.

Allow to cool completely and then cut into pieces.
