Cooking
Peas boil until tender, do not wait until it is completely mushy, but just tender and no longer "crunch" on the teeth. I'm not going to teach you how to cook the peas, each with their own technology)) I just washed dried peas, pour water and boil. I cook peas a lot, then partially freeze and, if necessary, a handful of peas ready to can always find.
Onion, carrot and celery to slice and slightly fry in vegetable oil. The method of slicing an arbitrary, I like coarsely chopped vegetables for stew.
Then add the peeled and chopped large dice the potatoes, fry until light brown colour.
Add the cooked peas, mix well. Salt, pepper and other spices to taste.
Add the tomatoes (I pieces in their own juice, but you can and whole, like when tomatoes are felt), instead of tomatoes you can use tomato sauce, paste, ketchup - as you like, your taste preferences I outlined above.
Add water, stir and simmer until the potatoes are done, the liquid will evaporate leaving only a thick stew.
