Cooking
The first thing we put on to cook the lentils in plenty of water, adding to it a coarsely chopped half onion, a pinch of ground ginger, Bay leaf and cloves. We will need 25 minutes, so the lentils should be well cooked but not to a state of porridge.
In vegetable oil fry the second half of an onion, sliced relatively thin half-rings, along with the fried onions and chopped garlic. As the onions will acquire a yellowish tint, we add the chopped tomato without skin. This we sauté simmer for 10 minutes on very low heat.
Once cooked lentils, add to it fried and stir.
Fry the sliced sausage until soft.
Put the lentils in a saucepan placed on top of the sausage and send the whole thing in the oven (180 degrees) for 20 minutes.
Don't forget that this dish is served in a very hot saucepan! Here's a "hot" character Kokotov.
