Onion pie
Recipes onion pie a lot, but this is not found, so do not kick too hard, if you find that this still is already. A recipe shared with me the best friend of my mother, 14 years ago. Me and all my friends-friends very much, I hope you like it! Shortbread dough and juicy filling inside. Very simple and so delicious!

Ingredients

  • Yolk egg

  • The processed cheese

    2 piece

  • Black pepper

  • Chicken egg

    2 piece

  • Onion

    2 piece

  • Leavening agent

    2 tsp

  • Flour

    8 Tbsp

  • Margarine

    100 g

  • Sour cream

    5 Tbsp

Cooking

Margarine (or butter), sour cream, flour and baking powder mix and knead the dough.

Divide it into 2 parts (one bigger, the other smaller) and place in refrigerator for 1 hour. While the dough rests in the fridge let's prepare the filling. It's all very simple.

Take a bow (here, I want to say, the recipe is 2 bulbs, but since I'm a big fan of this wonderful vegetable, so I take more), cleaned, cut as you like (I cut half rings) and fry, again as you like (I love it when the onion is very well done, this is already caricamenti). For frying use lard, cut into small cubes, a little drips fat and fry in it onions. Skwarecki also go in the stuffing.

This time bacon was not whole, was the lard, I'm in the onions and fry. When onion is ready, leave it aside to cool as it should.

Whisk 2 eggs, add the cooled onion, pepper to taste, mix well.

Take out of the refrigerator a piece of dough that we have more. Roll out to slightly larger than our form, or put directly into the form and distribute the dough by hand, not forgetting to do the sides.

Pour the batter into the egg-onion filling and on top lay slices of processed cheese. It can be pre-frozen and then just grate on the grater (or just onion mix) but I find it easier just to cut small pieces and spread over onions. And hands not as cold. This time I have pieces of melted cheese on toast (the orange kind) for the filling put.

Now take the smaller piece, roll out and closing our pie. Top lubricated with egg. Make a few punctures and put in a preheated 180-200 °C oven for 20-30 minutes. The temperature and the time here is approximate, so be guided by your oven.

As soon as the cake is well browned, remove from oven. Allow to cool and enjoy!

I like this cake more the next day. When well cooled, infusions, then it is even better! Although, usually until the next day the cake did not survive.. ;)
