Winter chocolate cake
Moist, very chocolate and rich tart with a Cup of hot tea/coffee from help you to keep warm on a cold winter day. The recipe is from the book "School of Gastronome", in the original this cake is baked with the use of ready-made butter cookies, I baked some cookies myself, using aromatic spices, nuts, dried fruit and candied peel. It turned out a wonderful combination of spices-nuts-chocolate. Pie something very reminiscent of the taste of chocolate sausage. Moist chocolate interspersed with delicious cookies. I will show you how you can make this cake as a portion, in General, do not pass by!!!

Ingredients

  • Dark chocolate

  • Spices

  • Orange zest

For a start I will bake cookies for this candied (I have ginger, cherries, cherries, dried cranberries) and dried fruits (raisins, apricots) grind, I cut with a knife.

Also grind nuts, but no flour, and that was the pieces.

Sugar RUB with soft butter (I have brown sugar).

Add egg, flour and knead the dough.

Add chopped nuts, dried fruit, candied fruit, orange zest and spices. I added somewhere 0,25 tsp cinnamon, 5-6 cardamom pods (peel and grind, you can take the ready ground), and 3 pieces of cloves (also minced). I added candied ginger, so ground ginger was not added.

Flatten the dough into a cylinder and remove in the cold for 40 minutes. In the last 10 min. you can put the dough in the freezer, then it is better to cut.

Cut the cylinder of dough into thin slices, spread on paper, greased baking sheet or Mat, as I have.

If you want to make this cake as a portion, put the circles of dough into greased molds.

Bake cookies or tarts (bake them with the load from the top) in a preheated oven 170 deg.: 15-20 minutes - cookies and 10-15 minutes baskets. By the way, cookie is VERY delicious!

Cookies to cool and break up to this step I have survived 8 PCs cookies. If we have baskets, will not touch them.

Now prepare the chocolate base. In the "ingredients" I gave the proportions of the original, but for my 22 cm shape I made 2/3 portion. Sugar and I took half, a little less to take, the cake turns out very sweet, although this is a matter of taste. So, beat eggs with a mixer with sugar in a dense, homogeneous mass for approximately 5 min.

Chocolate to break into small pieces, melt in a water bath.

Add the oil and stir until a homogeneous mass.

Then combine egg mixture and chocolate, mix gently.

Add crushed cookies, mix well. Pour the mixture into covered with an oiled parchment separable form. For baskets - simply fill them with chocolate-egg mixture until almost full.

Bake in a preheated oven of 160 deg. - 45 min. to 30 min. - baskets.

Now ready for the basket; by the way, my family found them tastier the pie!

Here is the finished cake. In the oven it went well, but then the donkey, sorry.. the taste is not affected :-) the Finished cake to cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
