Roast chicken with lentils
This dish is very aromatic with a very rich taste. Chicken cooked with lentils in wine. Those who do not wish to use wine, you can replace it with chicken broth.

Ingredients

  • Chicken

    1 kg

  • Olive oil

    2 tsp

  • Red onion

    1 piece

  • Carrots

    1 piece

  • The Apium graveolens Dulce

    2 piece

  • Bacon

    4 piece

  • Garlic

    1 tooth

  • Lentils

    1 cup

  • Broth

    0.5 cup

  • Dry white wine

    2 cup

  • Thyme

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. In a pan heat the oil and lightly fry in it the chicken pieces. Put on a plate.

In the same pan add the onions, carrots, celery, bacon and garlic. Cook, stirring, 5 minutes until onions are soft.

Stir in the lentils and stir. Add the broth and wine. Bring to a boil.

If you bake in the same pan, then lay on top the chicken pieces. If not, put a wine-lentil mixture into the baking pan and on top lay the chicken pieces. Sprinkle with thyme, salt and pepper.

Bake for 30 - 40 minutes until the chicken is cooked.
