Swedish Christmas cookies
Pepparkakor. My friend works as the Director of one of the IKEA stores in Russia, knowing about my culinary obsessions, presented me with a recipe for this cookie. I love to bake. My experience has repeatedly shown that soy sauce kikkoman in addition to all its other wonderful properties, has another – to enhance the flavor of pastries and make it memorable and bright! Ingredients

  • Flour

    200 g

  • Brown sugar

    60 g

  • Sugar

    50 g

  • Soy sauce

    1.5 Tbsp

  • Molasses

    30 ml

  • Water

    30 ml

  • Butter

    60 g

  • Spices

    1.5 tsp

  • Soda

    0.66 tsp

Cooking

Pour into a saucepan the molasses and water, add sugar (brown and white), stir and heat.

Add the soy sauce.

Add the oil and spices all melted.

Give cool slightly and pour the soda, the mixture will be a little foaming.

Shift the mixture to the bowl, begin to add the flour and knead the dough very elastic. Put it in the cold for 40 minutes.

Roll out the dough very thinly, about 1-2 mm. I used the machine for pasta, the dough is elastic, well-acted and does not stick.

Cut biscuit and pastry molds. the traditional form for him hearts and flowers, put on a sheet and baked at 180 degrees for 5 minutes. Be careful, it is baked very quickly. Can be served!
